Contributions of the Electoral Court to the legal implementation of the protection of personal data of the brazilian electorate

Abstract

This article is justified by the importance of the subject of personal data protection in today's world, immersed in the new scenario of social development based on data processing technology, innovation and the internet. The aim is to insert the subject of personal data protection in the Brazilian legal system, in particular to bring it closer to the constitutional role assigned to
the Electoral Justice. The relevance of the theme stands out in the necessary and urgent implementation of the protection of personal data in relation to the activities of the Electoral Justice, a body that carries out essential activities for the maintenance and strengthening of citizenship and democracy through elections. Security and transparency in the treatment of voter data also reflect this importance. The research was based on deductive bases, with the research
and analysis of doctrinal and jurisprudential production directed to the theme, in order to allow the analysis and considerations on the proposed subject.
